In April 2024, new flexible working legislation came into effect. The Acas statutory Code of Practice on requests for flexible working has been updated to reflect the changes. 

The new legislation gives employees the right to request flexible working from the first day of their employment. It is therefore key that all employers understand the new legislation and how the changes impact your business and the benefits that flexible working can bring.

This event has been designed to help employers understand the law relating to flexible working, the Acas statutory Code of Practice and provide guidance in handling requests for flexible working.

Five top tips for handling formal flexible working requests in line with the Acas Code of Practice

The Acas Code of Practice for flexible working is intended to help employers deal with employees written requests to change their working hours or place of work under the statutory right in the Employment Rights Act 1996 to request flexible working.

Join this session to get an insight into the guidance in this Code, which not only helps employers and employees with formal flexible work requests but is also taken into account by employment tribunals when considering relevant cases.

The law on flexible working is due to change in the Spring of 2024. This event covers current employment legislation and Acas Code of Practice.
